THE ESTATE

Block Eight Estate is a stunning 100-acre private retreat nestled in the heart of beautiful Hunter Valley wine country. Featuring vineyards, olive groves, natural bushland and park-like grounds, the estate offers sweeping views from the Barrington Tops to the Brokenback Range. Guests can fully immerse themselves in the natural surroundings. Our exclusive guest-only Wine Room, built over a sparkling lake, provides a peaceful space to enjoy boutique wines while watching the sunset.

Block Eight Estate prioritises a tranquil and romantic atmosphere. We accommodate a maximum of ten guests at any time and maintain a strict no children policy. The estate is ideally located for exploring the region, with neighbouring Squires Vineyard and Ridgeview Cellar Door and Restaurant just a short stroll or bike ride away. Many of the Hunter Valley’s most celebrated wineries and restaurants are only a short drive away. Helicopter tours and winery experiences can also arrange pick-up directly from the estate.

The estate is home to a large family of kangaroos and wallabies, along with a diverse range of native wildlife and birdlife. Guests can also enjoy visiting and interacting with our rescue dogs in the dedicated “Puppy House.” Feed the ducks, collect fresh farm eggs from our friendly chooks, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful rural setting.

Relax in one of our luxury villas featuring hotel-quality linen, plush towels and high-end toiletries. Villas are well stocked, including our own award-winning olive oil. All guests receive a complimentary bottle of estate wine on arrival, along with a welcome gift.

THE VILLA

Water View Villa is a luxury one-bedroom villa offering beautiful views over the natural lake and surrounding bushland. Enjoy watching kangaroos and water birds from your private verandah, or unwind in a relaxing bubble bath.

During the cooler months, the cosy open fireplace provides the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of red wine. With its own fully fenced garden, this villa is also ideal for guests travelling with a well-behaved dog.

Other villas available on the estate include Vineyard View, Gum Trees, Barrington View, and Tree Tops (dog friendly).

How We Price:
Pricing is based on a minimum number of guests. Any additional guests are charged per person, per night. The system will automatically calculate the correct rate when entering guest numbers. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.

Arrival Details:
Access is simple. You will receive a check-in code via SMS prior to 3pm on your arrival day. Standard check-in is from 3pm. Early check-in may be available and will be confirmed by SMS the day prior to arrival if possible.

Linen:
All bed linen and towels are provided (two bath towels per person). Guests may wish to bring extra towels for longer stays. Pool, lake or beach towels are not supplied.

WiFi:
Complimentary WiFi is provided. As it is delivered via a third-party provider, connection speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed, and no compensation is provided for interruptions.

Pets:
Pets are welcome subject to approval and compliance with house rules. Guests must supply their own pet bedding, food bowls and waste bags. Pets are not permitted on furniture or beds and must not be left unattended. A bond applies for any damage.

Fires & Firewood:
Fireplaces and fire pits operate seasonally in line with NSW fire restrictions (typically after the Easter school holidays until before the September school holidays). Firewood is provided for 1–2 nights, with additional wood available on site.

No Party Policy:
This property operates under a strict no-party and noise policy in accordance with NSW regulations. Breaches may result in bond forfeiture, eviction and additional charges.

Extra Guests / Visitors:
Only registered guests are permitted on the property at any time. Visitors may be approved in advance in writing and must comply with occupancy limits.

Cameras & Noise Monitoring:
External cameras are not currently installed; however, the owner reserves the right to install them in accordance with regulations. A noise monitoring device is in place to ensure compliance with house rules.

Guest Registration / ID:
All guests must complete electronic registration and provide valid photo identification prior to arrival. Access codes are only issued to verified guests.

Insurance:
Guests are encouraged to obtain travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances such as cancellations, medical emergencies or travel disruptions.
