Block Eight Estate is a stunning 100-acre private retreat nestled in the heart of the beautiful Hunter Valley wine country. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, natural bushland and park-like grounds, the estate boasts breathtaking vistas stretching from the Barrington Tops to the Brokenback Range—inviting you to fully immerse yourself in its natural beauty.
Our exclusive guest-only Wine Room, set over a sparkling lake, offers a peaceful space to indulge in boutique estate wines while watching the sun set.
Block Eight Estate prioritises a tranquil and romantic experience. We host a maximum of 10 guests at any one time and maintain a strict no-children policy to preserve the peaceful atmosphere.
For those wanting to explore, we are ideally located near Squires Vineyard, just a short stroll or bike ride to Ridgeview Cellar Door and Restaurant, and only a short drive to many of the region’s most celebrated wineries and dining experiences. Helicopter flights and winery tours can even collect you directly from the property.
The estate is home to a large population of kangaroos and wallabies, along with diverse native wildlife and birdlife. We also regularly foster rescue dogs and have a dedicated “Puppy House” where guests can visit and cuddle the puppies. Guests can enjoy simple farm experiences such as feeding ducks or collecting fresh eggs from our friendly chickens.
Relax in one of our luxury villas, complete with hotel-quality linen, plush towels and premium toiletries. Each villa is well-appointed, including our own award-winning olive oil. All guests are welcomed with a complimentary bottle of estate wine and a welcome gift on arrival.
Water View Villa is the estate’s only pet-friendly villa, featuring a secure fenced area. Written approval is required prior to bringing your pet.

Accommodation Details:
Block Eight Estate is ideal for groups of up to 10 guests, offering 5 private one-bedroom villas. Each suite features king bedding and its own ensuite bathroom.
How We Price:
Rates are based on a minimum number of guests. Additional guests are charged per person, per night, and pricing is automatically calculated at booking. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.
Arrival Details:
Access is simple and secure. You will receive an SMS with your access code just before 3pm on your arrival day. Standard check-in is 3pm. Early check-in may be possible but cannot be confirmed until the day prior—if available, you will be notified by 4pm.
Linen:
One set of bed linen and two bath towels per person are provided. Guests may wish to bring additional towels depending on length of stay. Pool/lake towels are BYO.
Guest Amenities:
We are eco-conscious and provide a 3-in-1 shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each shower. Guests are encouraged to bring any additional personal items they may prefer.
Wi-Fi:
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for guest use. As it is provided by a third-party service, speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed and compensation is not provided for outages.
PET POLICY
Pets are welcome at the Water View Villa subject to prior written approval and agreement to the following:
Guests must provide pet bedding, bowls and waste bags
Pets are not permitted on furniture, rugs, carpet, beds or linen
Pets must not be left unattended at any time
Guests acknowledge rural risks including fencing, waterways, wildlife and neighbouring livestock
A bond will apply for any damage or breaches of the pet policy
FIREPLACES & FIREWOOD
Fireplaces and fire pits operate seasonally—from after the NSW Easter School Holidays until before the NSW September School Holidays, in line with fire regulations. Starter firewood is provided for 1–2 nights, with additional wood available from the on-site woodshed.
HOUSE RULES
No Party Policy:
Strictly no parties or excessive noise, in line with NSW Short-Term Letting legislation and local council regulations. Non-compliance may result in eviction and additional charges.
Guest Numbers & Visitors:
The number of guests on your booking is the maximum permitted on the property at any time, including visitors. Visitor requests must be approved in writing prior to arrival.
Security & Monitoring:
A Wi-Fi security camera may be installed at the front entrance (and occasionally rear areas) for safety and compliance purposes.
GUEST REGISTRATION & SECURITY
All guests are required to complete an electronic registration prior to arrival, including photo ID. The primary guest must also provide contact details for all occupants. These records are securely stored and deleted after departure.
Important:
Bookings made within 5 days of arrival require verification via a credit card matching the guest’s ID. Failure to provide matching documentation may result in cancellation and refund.
INSURANCE
We strongly recommend guests take out Domestic Travel Insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances such as cancellations, medical issues or travel disruptions.
