Block Eight Estate is a stunning 100-acre private retreat nestled in the heart of the beautiful Hunter Valley wine country. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, natural bushland and beautifully maintained park-like grounds, the estate boasts breathtaking views stretching from the Barrington Tops to the Brokenback Range—inviting guests to completely unwind and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region.

Our exclusive guest-only Wine Room, positioned over a sparkling lake, provides a peaceful setting to enjoy boutique estate wines while taking in the sunset and serene surroundings.

Block Eight Estate is designed as a tranquil and romantic adults-only escape. To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the property, we accommodate a maximum of 10 guests at any one time and maintain a strict no-children policy. Children and infants are not permitted on the estate at any time, including visitors.

For guests wanting to explore the Hunter Valley, we are ideally located neighbouring Squires Vineyard, only a short stroll or bike ride to RidgeView Cellar Door and Restaurant, and within easy reach of many of the region’s most celebrated wineries, restaurants and experiences. Helicopter transfers, wine tours and private experiences can also collect directly from the property.

The estate is home to a large population of kangaroos and wallabies, along with abundant native wildlife and birdlife. We also regularly foster rescue dogs and have a dedicated “Puppy House” where guests may visit and cuddle the puppies during their stay. Guests can additionally enjoy simple farm-style experiences such as feeding ducks or collecting fresh eggs from our friendly chickens.

Relax in one of our luxury villas, thoughtfully appointed with hotel-quality linen, plush towels and premium toiletries. Each villa includes carefully selected touches such as our own award-winning olive oil, and all guests are welcomed with a complimentary bottle of estate wine and a welcome gift on arrival.

Water View Villa is the estate’s only pet-friendly villa and includes a secure fenced area for approved pets. Written approval is required prior to bringing pets onto the property.

Accommodation Details

Block Eight Estate is ideal for groups of up to 10 adult guests, offering five private one-bedroom villas. Each villa features king bedding and its own ensuite bathroom.

Please note: Block Eight Estate is strictly adults-only. Children and infants are not permitted on the property under any circumstances.

How We Price

Rates are based on a minimum number of guests. Additional guests are charged per person, per night, with pricing automatically calculated at the time of booking. Reductions in guest numbers after booking are non-refundable.

Arrival Details

Access is simple and secure. Guests will receive an SMS with their access code shortly before 3pm on the day of arrival. Standard check-in is from 3pm. Early check-in requests cannot be confirmed until the day prior and, if available, guests will be notified by 4pm.

Linen

One set of bed linen and two bath towels per person are provided. Guests staying for extended periods may wish to bring additional towels. Pool and lake towels are BYO.

Guest Amenities

As part of our eco-conscious approach, each villa is stocked with a 3-in-1 shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Guests are welcome to bring any additional personal items they may prefer.

Wi-Fi

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for guest use. As the service is provided by a third-party supplier, speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed and compensation is not provided for outages or interruptions.

PET POLICY

Pets are welcome at Water View Villa, subject to prior written approval and agreement to the following conditions:

Guests must provide pet bedding, bowls and waste bags
Pets are not permitted on furniture, rugs, carpet, beds or linen
Pets must not be left unattended at any time
Guests acknowledge rural property risks including fencing, waterways, wildlife and neighbouring livestock
A bond may apply for damages or breaches of the pet policy

For the safety of pets and wildlife, dogs must remain on leash at all times while on the property, as kangaroos may act aggressively if threatened.

FIREPLACES & FIREWOOD

Fireplaces and fire pits operate seasonally—from after the NSW Easter School Holidays until before the NSW September School Holidays—in accordance with fire regulations. Starter firewood is supplied for stays of 1–2 nights, with additional wood available from the on-site woodshed.

HOUSE RULES
No Party Policy

Strictly no parties, events or excessive noise, in accordance with NSW Short-Term Rental Accommodation legislation and local council regulations. Non-compliance may result in eviction and additional charges.

Guest Numbers & Visitors

The number of guests listed on your booking is the maximum permitted on the property at any time, including visitors. Any visitor requests must be approved in writing prior to arrival.

As part of our strict adults-only policy, children and infants are not permitted on the property at any time, including visitors.

Security & Monitoring

For safety and compliance purposes, Wi-Fi security cameras may be installed at the front entrance and occasionally rear external areas of the property.

GUEST REGISTRATION & SECURITY

All guests are required to complete an electronic registration prior to arrival, including photo ID verification. The primary guest must also provide contact details for all occupants. All information is securely stored and deleted following departure.

Important

Bookings made within 5 days of arrival require verification using a credit card matching the guest’s identification. Failure to provide matching documentation may result in cancellation and refund.

INSURANCE

We strongly recommend guests obtain Domestic Travel Insurance to cover unexpected events including cancellations, illness, medical emergencies or travel disruptions.
